Latest Research GrantsDorothy Martin-Neville is Co-Chair of the Advisory Board of a $2 million FRONTIER MEDICINE GRANT from the National Institute of Health. This is an energy medicine grant supporting research into the use of energy medicine in both cellular and clinical research. Because of its increasing viability as a complimentary option in the world of allopathic medicine, energy medicine is now being explored through research to assess its potential for healing in a variety of areas. Within this particular grant, the cellular research consists of two major studies. One study is observing the use of energy medicine as a means of stem cell regeneration while the other cellular research study is being conducted on osteoblast cells to observe their ability for reconstruction after tearing through the use of energy medicine. The clinical research being conducted through this grant involves women with cervical cancer as well with women with breast cancer. Various modalities of energy medicine are being utilized in these aspects of the grant. The Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences has also received a portion of this grant from the NIH, as well, to research the use of The W.I.S.E. Method™ in working with patients with Fibromyalgia. Approximately 60 Fibromyalgia patients will be used over a 12 week period to assess the effectiveness of this modality as a means of not only minimizing or eliminating pain, but also as a means of supporting the patients in understanding any possible psycho/spiritual causality of the disorder. A control group will be formed for comparison during this study. Because an in-depth understanding of this modality is required, only graduates and staff of our program are qualified to be hired for the position as healer/practitioner in this grant study.
Because of the need for further research in the field of energy medicine, the Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences has recently opened a new non-profit division to the school, The Foundation of Energy Medicine Research. Grant applications will be submitted on a regular basis to further support the field of energy medicine, and most specifically, The W.I.S.E. Method™. Seniors and graduates will be employed, as needed, to serve on these grants as the healer/practitioners needed to research energy medicine as practiced within The W.I.S.E. Method™.
